Fender Japan Standard Strat, sunburst, crafted in Japan 2002-4. These J-craft Standards are awesome little guitars. The basic recipe is this: take a '62 style Strat, flatten out the radius, move the truss rod adjuster to the sensible headstock end, stick modern style tuners, make the neck a slick satin finish and add the 90s style logos. It adds up beautifully in the hands: the neck is very quick in the hands; the satin finish feels awesome and the shape is a friendly little round number; it's effortless to play. The tone is a crisp, hi-fi take on the classic 'Strat spank'; it's got a nice understated tight bass and a slicing, defined treble. The bridge pickup has been switched to a USA Noiseless model, so that's a handy bonus. This just works; it's a great Strat that surely punches well above it's dollar mark.

Cosmetic condition notes: mild finish wear. Headstock and neck pretty clean, no major marks. Back has no major marks; just some light scuffs around the back edge and on the belly carve. The sides are nice and clean, just minor dimples near the jack. The front has no major marks, just some play wear on the guard and top horn. Overall: excellent condition (9/10).

Playing condition notes: Neck is straight, action is low, intonation is good, truss rod works. All electronics tested and working properly. Frets have very little wear; 9/10 for fret life left. Setup with fresh 10/46 Moonshiners strings.
