Fender Japan Standard Telecaster TL43 Transparent Pink 2013
Fender Japan Standard Tele, transparent pink, made in Japan 2013. Here's a finish I've never seen in the flesh before: transparent punch-in-the-face pink. What a glorious time to be alive. It's equal parts lurid and alluring; it'll surely invoke some opinions, but dang, I kinda love it. Aside from the colour, this is a super practical little tone machine. The Japan Standard Tele takes the '72 style model and adds a satin finish neck with a bend-friendly 9.5" modern radius, a six saddle top loader bridge and the understated 90s style decals. The neck is a dream, it's slim and quick and just perfect in the hands. Plugged in, this delivers a hi-fi, crisp 'Tele twang' with heaps of brightness and clarity, balanced by a punchy, tuneful low end with heaps of roundness and immediacy. Barbie Dreamhouse not included, sorry!
