Fender Ken Custom Jaguar, made in Mexico 2013, arctic white. This really is a rare bird! This is an 'FSR' (Factory Special Run) model, there was a grand total of 150 ever made. Ken Custom is the guitarist for legendary J-rockers L'Arc en Ciel, who among other things are responsible for the Fullmetal Alchemist theme for all you anime lovers. Aside from it's scarcity, this has a lot of other things going for it. The neck features a modern 9.5" radius and medium jumbo frets, which feels great and is a little more friendly for quick lead playing than a regular Jag neck. The adjustomatic bridge is easy to work with, and the tailpiece features 'modern tremolo placement'; a little closer to the bridge for increased break angle; this eliminates a lot of buzz and increases tuning stability. The pickups are wound a little hotter than regular Jag singles, so it sounds a little stronger and thicker than a regular Jag, but you still get that signature spank and jangle. The extremely-white finish is very striking, especially with the matching headstock, bound board and big block inlays: this is one of those guitars that you'll get compliments on every time it comes out to play. Don't count on seeing another one anytime soon!
