Fender Mike Dirnt Signature Precision Bass Vintage White 2005
Fender Mike Dirnt P, made in Mexico 2005, vintage white. This is so cool! Mike Dirnt is the bass player for Green Day and this is the first version of his signature model. You take a '51 style slab body, add an arm carve on the front, a modern shaped neck with a rosewood slab board and the cute 'Telecaster Bass' style headstock, add a Badass II high mass bridge and a Fender Custom Shop '59 pickup. The result is awesome: this sounds huge. The ash/rosewood combo means you get heaps of natural midrange and warmth, the chunky bridge adds bite and clarity and the hot 50s pickup offers heaps of grunt and low end. The finish has yellowed beautifully to a buttercream-esque yellow; paired with the undying chíc of the original Precision curves it's a very attractive item indeed. These are long discontinued and seldom come up around these parts, so nab yourself a hard punching monster tone machine and smash out some dang tunes.

Cosmetic condition notes: minor finish wear. Headstock has some marks on the end and bottom edge. The neck is clean and smooth in the hands, minor dimples only. The back has a couple of light scuffs and minor dimples, no major marks. The sides have a dimple near the jack and a crack in the poly only coming off the neck joint on the top horn; common on this type of finish and shape and certainly not in the wood. The front is pretty clean, just some dimples near the bridge and on the arm carve and some play wear on the guard. Overall: good condition (7/10)
Playing condition notes: Action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good, truss rod works. All electrics tested and working properly. Frets look great, very minor wear only, 9/10 for life left. Set up with fresh 45/105s.
