Fender '57 P in sweet candy apple red, crafted in Japan 1997-00. This is the best looking P we've had in ages, it's seriously gorgeous! The maple board/candy apple combo is amazing, and it's a non-catalog finish for this model... that's why you haven't seen many around. The maple board lends the bass a whole lot of spank and attack to balance the traditional round, warm classic P-thump. It also feels awesome, there's definitely something about it under the fingers. The body is light and responsive, it feels very 'alive' and really rings with each note. This is a perfect stage-bass for a working player, it'll bang out the fat tones night after night effortlessly with a whole lot of style.
