Fender Standard Jazz, olympic white, made in Mexico 2010. This is a sweet little J that's packing some sensible upgrades to lend it some extra tonal oomph. The stock pickups have been switched for a set of David Allen models, which are a vintage-voiced classic single coil designed to give you a nice mix of 60s roundness and 70s cut. The wiring harness has also been upgraded to the Emerson kit, which has a nice list of deluxe parts; so the tone here really is great. You get that classic-J definition and punch, but there's a nice roundness and warmth to the tone. The bright-white finish is in great shape; it's radiant shine makes even my white wall look grey. The alder body is a moderate weight, and the slim neck is comfortable and friendly; it's a simple and effective player. If you're after a classic J, this will surely be a winner!
