Fender Standard Strat, lake placid blue, made in Mexico 2016. The Standard series ran from 2006-17 out of Mexico, and history has been pretty kind to them: the general consensus is that they're very respectable guitars. This one is wearing a vibrant coat of lake placid blue, which pops nicely against the golden maple fretboard and cream guard. The neck is a fairly slim modern C shape, so it's comfy and quick to play, and the 9.5" radius makes for big clean bends up the neck when the blues takes you. The tone is bright and zesty, with a clear snappy attack that will sit on top of a mix nicely. Smooth stuff.
