Fender '62 Strat in old lake placid blue, crafted in Japan 1997-00. This is instantly likeable. It's a high end model, so you get an alder body and a set of Fender USA Texas Special pickups. The pickups are great: you get a smooth, scooped tone that crunches up perfectly when you drive a little harder; it's perfect for big bluesy lead lines. The neck is quick and slim, and the slab-style rosewood board is a thing of beauty. The OLB finish is super sweet, it's yellowed slightly with age and really pops under lights, you don't see many around either. These high-end CIJ models always deliver, come see what all the fuss is about!
Model: Fender Stratocaster, '62 Reissue (ST62-75TX)
Made: Japan, 1997-2000 (serial O087537)
Finish: old lake placid blue (OLB), 3-ply mint guard
Neck: maple with rosewood board, dot inlays
Neck, middle and bridge pickup: Fender USA Texas Specials
Cosmetic condition notes: minor finish wear. There's a proper ding on the bottom just around from the input jack, it's been filled in with blue and isn't visible from the front. Aside from that, it's fairly clean. There's some faint uneven fading on the back from stickers long-since removed, a ding on the top horn and a couple of dimples on the back. Back plate missing. Overall: good condition (7.5/10)
Playing condition notes: Neck is straight, action is low, intonation is good, truss rod works. All electronics tested and working properly. Frets have been a little wear, heaps of life left in them, 7/10. Sweet stuff.
