Fender Walnut Telecaster, made in Japan 1990/91. This is really something special! This is a limited-edition non-catalogue model, they popped up a couple of times in the late 80s and early 90s. It's has similar specs to the Rosewood Telecasters made out of the Fujigen plant around the same time, but this one is solid walnut. The body is an unchambered two piece solid walnut body, it's really quite extraordinary in tone and appearance, and the natural satin finish brings out the best in the grain. The neck is also walnut with a deluxe ebony slab fingerboard; it's very solid in the hands and the slim profile is superbly comfortable. The gold hardware inc. six block saddle bridge is all in good shape and rounds out the classy look perfectly. Tone-wise, this rules. The US pickups really bring out the best in the walnut body. You get thick, tight bass, punchy defined mids, sweet and controlled highs... it's very balanced and full, a perfect balance of 'twang' and power. These really are super rare, it'll turn heads everywhere you take it and easily hold it's value. What an absolute stunner of a Tele!
