Fender '62 Reissue Tele, double bound candy apple red, crafted in Japan in 2006-08. This is smooth operator indeed. This one is a well-appointed 'Vintage Premium' model; so you get some good stuff: 60s spiral bridge, alder body and a pair of awesome Fender USA Texas Special pickups. The pickups deliver a thick, juicy bass to balance out the traditional Tele-twang; the slightly hot output loves a bit of drive and quickly moves into creamy, saucy goodness. The slim 60s neck feels instantly familiar and is very easy to move around quickly on, it's brilliant in the hands. Mix all that in with those knockout looks... the double binding hits all those Tele-curves just right, and the slightly worn-in candy apple red finish is perfectly classic and dripping with attitude. Surely you can win some hearts with this one!
Model: Fender Telecaster '62 Reissue (TL62B-75TX)
Made: Japan 2006-08 (serial S024561, 'crafted in Japan')
Finish: candy apple red, cream double binding
Body: alder
Neck: maple, rosewood board, slim profile
Mods: input jack and plate replaced, now non-recessed style
Pickups: original Fender USA Texas Special single coils
Case: basic gig bag
Cosmetic condition notes: Minor finish wear. The biggest ding is a little chip near the input jack, aside from that there's a handful of minor dimples around the back and front of the body. Chrome has some minor pitting on the bridge plate, functions fine. Overall: very good condition (8/10)
Playing condition notes: Action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good, truss rod works. All electronics tested and working properly. The frets are in pretty good condition, 7/10 for life left. Setup with fresh 10/46s. Yes!
