(ARCHIVE) Fernandes FRB-55 Revolver Bass Black 1987

Fernandes Revolver Bass, black, made in Japan 1987. This is a perfect little piece of 80s Japan goodness. First up, it's a medium scale, so the neck is 32", a couple of inches shorter than a regular P or J bass, but not as short as a Mustang etc. The neck is a slim C shape with a Jazz Bass style 38mm nut, which is super comfy and agreeable. It weighs in under 3.4kg, so it's a good 1kg lighter than many other basses in the store, and still balances nicely in the hands. The thing basically plays itself. The pickups are pretty clear and snappy, with a pleasing balance between the two and a practical mix of rounded lows and sizzling highs. If you're after a super comfy, understated little overachiever, this one is a great candidate.
