Fernandes JG-55, metallic black, made in Taiwan circa 1997. These JG series guitars are awesome: take the classic American offset shapes and add some Japanese pragmatism in the form of a fast-playing neck, simple electronics and a hardtail bridge... it works a treat. This one has a gorgeous flame maple neck, there's a stunning subtle flame from the headstock all the way to the body join. The neck feels great too, it's super quick and easy in the hands and pairs well with the lightweight body. The pickups have been switched for Duncan stuff, which always works well. The neck single coil is crisp and bold, with heaps of attack and detail. The bridge humbucker balances creamy mids with an angular attack, it's very happy pushing an amp to breakup and has a pleasing presence to it. The sparkly black finish will surely look great under lights, it's got that steampunk swagger. These are a shop fav for a reason, come see!
