Gibson L-200 Emmylou Harris Natural 2010
Gibson L-200 Emmylou Harris, made in USA 2010, natural finish. Emmylou Harris is among the most prominent names in the country-rock and americana universe. Gibson have done a few different runs of her signature model guitar, often in extremely limited numbers, sometimes as low as fifty. This one was made at the Montana factory in 2010, and it's a lovely thing. The model is basically a scaled-down version of the J-200: similar shape, the same aesthetic touches and the same classic tonewood combo, in a smaller size that's easier to hold. It weights in at 2kg, and the body is 56mm smaller across the top than a standard J-200: enough to make it an absolute darling to sit with and play. It's a very pretty thing: the crown inlays, gold tuners, bound fretboard, moustache bridge and outrageous flame maple back and sides are really quite something to see. The tone is very even, with great balance across the strings, a very open midrange and a clean, clear voice. It's perfect for fingerstyle stuff especially, although it still strums very nicely. If you've been on the hunt for one of these, you'll know how tricky they are to find. Nice one Emmylou!

Cosmetic condition notes: minor finish wear. The headstock has dimples on the end, minor scuffs on the front around the posts and some checking lines on the back. The neck is clean and smooth in the hands, minor run wear an some checking lines on the back. The back has minor dimples on the shoulders and some minor scuffs on the elbow area and back edge. The sides have minor checking lines on the top shoulder and elbow area and a surface scratch on the bottom bout. The front has dimples along the back edge and behind the bridge, scuffs around the bridge and soundhole and some playwear on the shoulders. The pickguard is lifting a little on the corner nearest the bridge
Overall: very good condition (7/10)
Playing condition notes: Action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good. Setup with 12/54 Moonshiners strings.
Fret Life: 8/10, minor wear only
