Gibson LP Jr, pelham blue, 2011. Oh boy, this is one attractive item. Pelham blue is widely regarded as one of Gibson's coolest and most under-utilised finishes; you rarely see it pop up these days but golly gosh it's a stunning hue. Pair that with the no-nonsense and clean lines of the LP Jr, and you get a guitar that'll draw a simultaneous 'ooooooh' from any room it graces with it's presence. The simple recipe of one slab of mahogany and one P-90 pickup still delivers the goods: this has a tight, satisfying attack, a crispy clear treble and a harmonically rich, singing midrange that you don't really get with humbuckers. It's light and sprightly in the hands with a sensibly slim neck, so it's a breeze to play. Basically, this is superb, and it'll make your life better.

Model: Gibson Les Paul Junior
Made: USA, 2011 (serial 130911511)
Finish: pelham blue, gloss nitro
Body: quartersawn solid mahogany
Neck: mahogany, baked maple board, 'slim taper' profile, 12" radius
Weight: 3.8kg approx
Mods: none
Pickups: Gibson P-90 alnico single coil
Case: non-original padded faux-leather gig bag

Cosmetic condition notes: minor finish wear. The back of the headstock has some minor discolouration near the serial and some dimples near the low-E machine head. The neck is pretty tidy with just minor play wear. The back has a few 'buckle rash' dimples and light scratches, but is very tidy overall. The sides have some discolouration along grain lines which is interesting, as well as some light scuffs near the rear strap pin. The front is very tidy, just some dimples behind the knobs and some light play wear on the guard and top horn. Overall: very good condition (8.5/10).

Playing condition notes: Neck is straight, action is low, intonation is good, truss rod works. All electrics tested and working properly. Frets have a little wear, nothing major; 8/10 for life left. Wearing fresh 11/49s.
