Gibson LP Melody Maker, made in USA 2014, 'manhattan midnight' finish. Gibson have messed around with their MM models, and this (short-lived) 120th anniversary example has got to be one of the best ones they've done! Two P-90s, super thin matte nitro finish, light body... it's such a winner. The finish is in great shape, but being so thin, it'll wear in quickly with some proper play. It's got a really nice not-quite-black look. The original bridge has been swapped for a tune-o-matic and stop-tail, which increases the tuning stability, sustain and intonation accuracy. The tone of this is so great; the thin nitro lets the wood breathe, and the P-90s really have that lauded 'screaming' tone.. it can really wail. It's nice to get so much grunt from a well balanced guitar that weighs in around 3kg, it's a welcome relief for your back. What a bad-ass.

Cosmetic condition notes: negligible finish wear There's barely a mark on it, it's very tidy. The back has a couple of minor scratches, there's a little bit of play wear on the back of the neck and some barely-there scratches on the top. The bridge has been replaced, you can see some professionally plugged holes where the dowels were, they're certainly not obvious. overall: excellent condition (9/10)
Playing condition notes: Neck is straight, action is low, intonation is good, truss rod works. All electrics tested and working properly. Frets have a little wear, but look almost new, 9/10. No headstock breaks. Super playable tone machine with heaps of style!
