Gibson LP Special in limited edition natural mahogany finish, made in USA 2002. Here's an unusual LP! This is an LP Special, so you get the carved body like a Strat; this relieves a bit of weight and is nice and comfy. It also has the LP Special flat top and pickguard, it's a bare-bones look that has a certain gruff charm. The lacquer has aged and yellowed to really show off the detailed mahogany grain. The pickups are Gibson P-100s: a soapbar sized stacked humbucker that sits somewhere between a traditional P-90 and a PAF-style humbucker in tone. The elimination of the typical P-90 noise is really handy, the guitar really eats of big hairy riffs and rhythm parts with great enthusiasm. The neck fairly round and moderate in profile, it feels solid and reassuring and is easy to like. You won't see many of these around, and it's certified 100% proper cool, don't wait too long!
