Gibson SG Classic Faded Worn Cherry 2011
Gibson SG Classic Faded, Worn Cherry finish, made in USA 2011. This is a cool one! These were made as a limited run for a USA retailer, so there's not that many around. The SG Classic Faded was a step to the left of the more common SG Special, but with a cute bound fretboard, 60s-style white button tuners and a pair of P-90 pickups, styled to reference the SG Special model from the late 1960s. This plays great: the neck is a comfy moderate rounded shape, it's lightweight but nicely balanced with no real neck dive and plenty of unplugged volume. The tone is great: bright and bitey on the bridge, warm and gooey on the neck, with that expansive top end breathiness that P-90s deliver so well. These Faded guitars are designed to rub up and fade, so this has a bit of wear around the place, but do the right and wear it out some more for me, won't you?

Cosmetic condition notes: minor finish wear. The headstock has dimples on the end and some scuffs on the sides from a string winder. The neck is clean and smooth in the hands, rub wear and dimples on the back only. The back has scuffs on the horns, a dimple in the belly carve area and some scratches in the elbow area, back edge and bottom corner. The sides have minor rub wear all over and some dimples in the elbow area, near the jack and on the bottom horn. The front has rub wear along the back edge, rub wear and dimples in the elbow area and some play wear on the guard and horns.
Overall: very good condition (8/10)
Playing condition notes: action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good, truss rod works. All electronics tested and working properly. Wearing fresh 10/52 Moonshiners strings.
Fret Life: 8/10, minor wear only
