Gibson SG Junior, vintage cherry gloss, made in USA 2005. Surely the SG Junior has got to be one of the most effortlessly rock-and-roll guitars ever. The mean shape, the single P-90, the simple hardware... it's a ruthless take-no-prisoners riff machine. This one is in great shape; for a guitar that's very conducive to being thrown around stages, it's got remarkably few marks. The neck is moderate; not too slim and not too chunky, and it doesn't 'dive' lot a lot of SGs tend to. The body is light and comfy, and the transparent finish shows off some nice details in the grain of the mahogany. The real fun here is the tone: the single P-90 absolutely brings the strong-game. It's aggressive, responsive and immediate, with a whole lot of warmth and grit. The mids and highs come out with a beautiful screaming clarity, it's a prefect mix of charming and obnoxious. If you like your guitars simple and satisfying, this one will be the perfect extension of your manic rockstar persona.
Model: Gibson SG Junior
Made: 2005, USA (serial 031250573)
Finish: vintage cherry, gloss nitro, 5-ply black guard
Neck: mahogany, rosewood board, set-neck
Pickups: original Gibson P-90

Cosmetic condition notes: Minor finish wear. There's a handful of dents in the 'buckle rash' area on the back, a minor mark near the rear strap pin on the front, a small ding near the knobs on the edge of the body, and little scuff just off the pickguard behind the bridge. Really it's in amazing shape. Overall: very excellent condition (9/10).
Playing condition notes: Neck is straight, action is low, intonation is good. Frets have very little wear, 9/10 for life left. Setup with fresh 10/46 strings. Not as neck-heavy as some SGs, it's fairly nicely balanced. Easy player that loves to play riffs all day.
