(SOLD) Gibson SG Special Cherry 2003
Gibson SG Special, cherry red, made in USA 2003. The SG Special at this period was a trimmed down take on the SG Standard, so you get a gold screened logo, no binding, dot inlays and the cool batwing guard. The classic SG stuff is all there: spicy curves, lightweight body, chunky neck, and a thick, gooey tone with heaps of punch. The neck pickup is thick and dark, perfect for doomy leads and gloomy chords. The bridge pickup has a full and syrupy midrange, perfect into a dirty British style amp for cowboy chord misadventures. This one has a few knocks and bumps in the finish but feels great in the hands, it's got that feeling of a guitar that's keen to get to practice and bash out some bangers. Very merry cherry.
