Gibson SG Special, faded cherry, made in USA 2008. The SG Special at this period was a trimmed down take on the SG Standard, so you get a gold screened logo, no binding, dot inlays and the cool batwing guard. The faded finish is designed to wear quickly, so there's heaps of rub wear around the edges and it has a cool depth to it. At a whisker over 3kg, this is super lightweight... your shoulders will thank you. Plenty of folks have put on a good show with a cherry red SG, is it your turn now?

Cosmetic condition notes: minor finish wear. The headstock has minor marks on the end. The neck is clean and smooth in the hands, minor rub wear and dimples on the back only. The back has widespread minor dimples, mostly on the horns and near the cavity, as well as widespread scuffs and surface scratches around the whole body but no major marks. The sides have rub wear and dimples on the top horn, rub wear on the elbow area, rub wear and some dents near the jack and some run wear on the bottom horn. The front has some dimples behind the bridge, some heat marks on the guard below the bridge pickup and some play wear on the guard and horns. Overall: very good condition (7.5/10).

Playing condition notes: Neck is straight, action is low, intonation is good. The frets have minor wear only, 8/10 for fret life left. All electronics tested and working properly. No headstock breaks. Wearing fresh 10/52 Moonshiners strings.
