Gibson SG Standard with mods, cherry, made in USA 2016. If you're going to mod a guitar, do something cool, right? This SG started out the same as most: with hardtail bridge and a pair of 490 humbuckers. It's since copped a very fun Bigsby B3 wigglestick, and a pair of Seymour's finest HB-sized-P90 Phat Cat single coils. It's a great combo: the tailpiece adds a breathy, open quality to the tone, which is enhanced in the singing highs and expressive mids of the pickups. The extra clarity, attack and chime on offer compared to a standard Standard is certainly a win in my eyes. The neck is a fairly fat tapered D style shape, familiar to the SG enthusiasts among us, and balances agreeably with the lightweight body. The cherry finish has some play wear and marks around the place, but still has that classic appeal, with all those pretty grain lines on show under the red. This is a fun guitar that will sit nicely in a mix, it's got a lot to give.

Cosmetic condition notes: minor finish wear. The headstock has some scuffs on the end and front and dents on the corners. The neck is clean and smooth in the hands, minor dimples and some rub wear on the back only. The back has widespread light scuffs around the whole body, as well as some dimples up from the control cavity and in the elbow area. The sides have dimples on both horns and near the jack and some rub wear in the elbow area. The front has a couple of dents and some scuffs in the elbow area, dimples around the knobs and tailpiece and some play wear on the guard and horns.
Overall: very good condition (8/10)

Playing condition notes: action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good, truss rod works. All electronics tested and working properly. Wearing fresh 10/52 strings.
Fret Life: 8/10, minor wear only
