(SOLD) Greco EGC68-60 Mint Collection LP Custom Style Ebony 1989
Greco 'Mint Collection' EGC68-60 LP Custom style, made in Japan 1988-90, ebony finish. This is a stunning take on the 1968 'Black Beauty' Les Paul Custom, made out of the Tokai factory in Japan. The Mint Collection series are very highly regarded for both historical accuracy and superb build quality; they're probably the most 'collectable' line of Greco LPs. This one is in tidy shape; there's a few marks around the place, but it's pretty clean for 30ish years old. The truss rod cover has been switched for a Gibson one, cheekily reading 'Les Paul Custom', and the knobs and switch surround are also non-original. It plays brilliantly; the slim C-shape neck is super friendly and all the joints and fretwork are spot-on. The unchambered body lends the guitar seemingly endless sustain and a thick, rich midrange... it sounds amazing! This is a brilliant LP, it'll easily go pound-for-pound with vintage Gibsons and any other comers... What a guitar!

Cosmetic condition notes: minor finish wear. There's a fair few play scratches around the strings, as well as a few minor dimples and scratches around the body. There's a couple of holes where the guard was formerly attached, and the a little bit of 'case burn' and buckle rash on the back; nothing major. The gold hardware has some pitting etc., and there's some hairline cracks (can't feel them) in the fretboard binding. Overall: very good condition (7.5/10)
Playing condition notes: Neck is straight, action is low, intonation is good, truss rod works. All electrics tested and working properly. Frets have very little wear, 8/10 for life left. Wearing fresh 11/49s, playing like butter!
