Greco Super View SV-800 Semi-Hollow Brown Sunburst 1979
Greco SV-800 semi-hollow, made in Japan 1979. This is as good as vintage Japanese 335-styles get, it's absolutely sublime. The SV series is slightly smaller than the sister SA series and a regular 335, although it's not quite as small as a 339. The body is made from some stunning white sycamore, which has a more complex grain structure than maple and really does look incredible. The sunburst finish has aged to perfection, and the flash inlays, aged binding and gold hardware have all mellowed to match, it's really quite something to behold. The slim 3-piece maple neck is perfectly made and feels amazing in the hands; this guitar is an absolute joy to play. The tone is rich, warm, full, responsive and delicate; equally at home playing jazz, blues, rock and more... it's one of those guitars that'll keep unfolding it's secrets for a few decades yet. This is quite simply a superb instrument, it's a perfect example of just how good a guitar can be.
