Greco TBR75 Thunderbird style bass, made in Japan 1990, artic white. As soon as I saw the gig bag, I was a little in love with this. Greco have made some infamously good Gibson style instruments over the years, and while you see a fair few 'lawsuit Les Paul' models around, these T-Bird basses are pretty rare. This one looks superbly gaudy in it's reverse-tuxedo outfit: the worn black hardware and dark rosewood board pop perfectly against the slightly creamy, slightly minty faded white finish. It's a beautifully made bass: the finish and fretwork are superb, it's well weighted, the neck is dead straight and a joy in the hands... it adds up to a good time. The tone is meaty, juicy, thick, warm, growly; all those things and more. There's a lot to love here, and it's certainly a bargain. Thunderbirds are go!

Cosmetic condition notes: mild finish wear. Headstock has some minor marks on the end and bottom edge. Neck is clean and smooth in the hands, minor dimples on the back only. The back has some light scuffs and a few little dimples and a small dent on the bottom horn, no major marks. The sides have a few things to note: scuffs on the top horn, dimples near the jack and some pink hazing along the back edge which is presumably the undercoat showing through the white from rub wear. The front is pretty tidy, just some more pink rub wear behind the bridge, dimples near the jack and some play wear on the guard and top horn along with a couple of little nicks on the edge above the front strap pin. Overall: very good condition (7.5/10)
Playing condition notes: Action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good, truss rod works. Electronics all tested and working properly. Frets have some light wear, 8/10 for fret life left. Wearing fresh 45/105 Moonshiners strings.
