History CV/BP4-M Seafoam Green 2019
History CV Series BP4-M, seafoam green, made in Japan 2019. History is the house brand for major Japanese music retailers Shimamura Gakki, made down the road at the iconic Fujigen Gakki factory, home of Fender Japan 1982-97 and Ibanez Prestige. This is the more recent version of their vintage-style Jazz Bass, and it's nicely exectued. The neck feels great: slim and quick, stable and nicely finished... it's bang-on. The pickups are a whisker hotter than a Fender JB62, so this has a rounded, fat take on the vintage Jazz growl. The finish is a very light green, which is cute. This is a very solid take on the Jenre... it's Jreat.
