(SOLD) Hondo 5-string banjo c1977
Hondo banjo, made in Japan mid to late 70s. This is a cute little banjo. Hondo stuff was made in Japan in the era before CNC routers, so this is a handmade instrument. It's got a few marks around the place but has generally held up well over the decades. It's got a warm, rich brightness to the tone with heaps of definition and pluck; there's a lot to like. No doubt this has played a few tunes and has a few stories to tell, so why not become part of the story?

Cosmetic condition notes: minor finish wear. Headstock has some minor dimples on the end and back and some scuffs on the front. Neck is clean and smooth in the hands, minor dimples on the back only. The back and sides have a number of scuffs and dimples, no major marks. The metal parts have some discolouration and the head is well worn. Overall condition: good condition (7/10)
Playing condition notes: Action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good, truss rod works. Frets have minor wear; 7/10 for life left.
