Ibanez DT670 Destroyer II Bass Black 1984
Ibanez DT670 Destroyer II, black, made in Japan 1984. I'm a longtime fan of Ibanez's Destroyer models: they're hell cool. This one dates to the era of leather pants, big hair and filthy riffs, and it's dressed to match in black and gold. The pickups are fantastic: big fat humbuckers, with coil split options; they dole out the good stuff. The sound is smooth and assured, with low-end heft aplenty and copious midrange growl. The X-style body shape balances nicely, and funnily enough the upper bout kinda makes a comfy arm rest if you're sitting down. These are pretty trcky to find these days, so take your shot. "Now I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds."
