Ibanez SR300, galaxy black, made in China 2013. I used to work in a shop that sold Ibanez stuff, and these little basses flew out the door. It's no surprise really: when this is in your hands, the thing basically plays itself. The 5-piece wizard neck is the highlight: it's stable, straight, skinny and super quick. The EQ is pretty powerful, so you can dial in all sorts of nasty tones. The black sparkle finish will pop nicely under lights, it's got just enough glitter in there to offset the darkness of your thought life. If you're after a lightweight, versatile bass on the cheap, this will do it.
