(ARCHIVE) Jackson USA Select Warrior WR1 Inca Silver 2004

Jackson Warrior, silver, made in USA 2004. You see American-made Jackson guitars around these parts approximately never, so here's a cool little treat. The Warrior is Jackson's classic X-shape, but every point is meant to reference their iconic headstock shape. It balances surprisingly well both sitting and standing, and at 3.7kg, it's lighter than many Explorer style offerings we've previously had through the store. The neck is a D-style profile, but it's not that skinny, it's on the slightly chunky side of shred-town. It's got rounded fretboard edges, classy binding, enormous frets and a lux ebony board with legit mother-of-pearl inlays... they weren't messing around. It really does play like a high end guitar: it's extremely responsive, holds tune admirably and rewards comes back at you the more you dig in. The pickups are on the hot side, which won't come as a surprise. They're warm and full with heaps of low end power, and deliver tasty classic rock tones as well as very convincing growls under more 'pissed-off' gain settings. If you wanted a new one of these, the general method would see you fork out around A$7k and wait around a year, so here's a bargain that saves you a whole birthday. HB2U.
