Jagard JF-250 folk size acoustic, made in Japan 1978. Jagard branded guitars were made in the famed Terada factory, the same place Gretsch Pro Series guitars come out of today. It's a well regarded factory for good reason: they've been making gorgeous instruments for a long time now. This little guy references the iconic Martin 000; perhaps the most famous of all folk size acoustic guitars. It's built from some tasty spruce and rosewood and braced lightly, so it's got a very full, balanced tone and heaps of natural volume. There's a lovely natural crispness to the attack and a moderate sustain; it'll happily move from fingerstyle to rhythm playing with eloquence and ease. The neck is a vintage style soft V; slim and agreeable and nice and straight, and blessed with a tasty tightly grained piece of mahogany. This barely looks four years old, let along four decades; it's weathered the decades beautifully. If you're after a sweet and easy playing acoustic, this will surely be a good friend to have either in the studio or on the couch.

The front is pretty tidy, just some scuffs from contact around the body, most obvious near the bridge and on the horns. Overall: very good condition (8/10).

Playing condition notes: action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good, truss rod works. Frets look nice and even and in pretty good shape, 8/10 for fret life left. Wearing fresh 12/54 Moonshiners strings.
