Martin 000-16GT acoustic, made in USA in 2011. This is a beautiful item! Martin have one of the longest histories in the guitar universe. They're responsible for countless innovations in design and are the most frequently copied acoustic builder ever; but as you discover when you pick up a guitar like this, nothing beats the original. The 000 is a perfectly comfortable shape; it's slim and light and you're never straining to get your hands around it. One thing you notice straight away when you pick this up is how light it is; the thinned-down body and light bracing are one of the secrets to the natural volume and balance to the tone. Most 000s are a short 24.75" scale, but the 16-series model is 25.4", closer to the traditional OM-shape. This lends the guitar a little extra cut and definition; it speaks very clearly. The slim neck is superbly easy in the hands; this is a perfect player for fingerstyle and other intricate playing. There's no pickup installed, but we can help get one sorted if need be, just ask. These fetch around $2.5k new and very rare on the used market in this hemisphere; it's a stellar buy! You really only need to buy a Martin 000 once, you'll want to keep this forever and pass it on to your children's children.

Model: Martin 000-16GT
Made: 2011, Nazareth PA, USA (serial 1491270)
Finish: natural gloss top; natural satin back sides and neck

Case: original Martin wood hard case, excellent quality and condition

Cosmetic condition notes: minor finish wear. There's some scratches on the back in the contour area near the binding, that's the only major mark. There's some very light finish burn on the top from a run in with some bubble wrap, you can only see it if you get the light reflecting on a particular angle so it's extremely hard to see and photograph. Overall: very good condition (8/10)

Playing condition notes: action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good. Frets are in great shape with minor wear only, 8/10. Setup with 12/53 gauge strings. Playing beautifully!
