- Guitarchives
Maton M225 acoustic, made in Melbourne Australia 2012, natural satin. The Natural Series did really well for Maton over a number of years, to the point where one can hardly wander into a street corner pub on a Friday in Australia without seeing one. This is the basic model: no pickup, no cutaway, no frills. It has that quintessentially Australian sound about it: warm and dry, bright on the top end, understated through the lows... crispy, if you will. It's an easy player with a comfy neck and good hardware. Also, the case is nice.
