Maton EBG808CLG Performer, sunburst, made in Melbourne 2011. If you were to venture out amongst the live music venues in any Australian city this weekend, chances of running into a guitar like this are very good. The Maton 808 is a favourite amongst working players owing to it's comfortable shape and balanced tone. This one features the slimmer Performer series body shape and handy cutaway, so it's extremely easy to play and perfect if you're doing 3hr+ gigs. The gloss finish version was the deluxe offering in this line, plus Maton never made many sunburst finish acoustics, so this one stands out beautifully in the crowd. The bunya top and Queensland maple back and sides are a tried and true combo; this has a great balance of sparkle and oomph tonally. This is a perfect little gigging guitar, basically.
