(SOLD) Maxon SM-9 Super Metal Distortion Pedal 1984
The Maxon SM-9 is the same pedal under the hood as the more famous Ibanez SM-9; they were made by the same folks at the same time. The five knob control setup gives you all sorts of sculpting possibilities to boost or scoop your mids. This will cover thrash metal tones happily, but there's enough gain range to get down to a pretty sensible distortion for punk etc too. Being an original Japanese-made '9 Series' Maxon example, it's a pretty safe investment too.
