Morris W-30 Dreadnought Acoustic 1979
Morris W-30 dreadnought, made in Japan circa 1979, natural finish. Morris is one of Japan's most successful and longest running acoustic builders. The brand was launched in 1967 by luthier Toshio "Mori" Moridaira and still produces high quality acoustic guitars in Japan today. Being a couple of notches above their most basic model in it's day, this one has a beautiful striped rosewood back and some pretty binding around the top. The tone is strong: thick and throaty, with plenty of natural bass and a dry, airy midrange. It's an easy player and a charming old soul. Simple and effective!
