Our thoughts: Well this is a fun little rig. 3 rack toms isn't for the faint hearted, but get around the coordination obstacle and the 8" tom is a real pocket rocket. We've tuned this up in the shop in favour of bigger intervals and as a 3 up 1 down setup, it's zingy and oh so fun, even wearing all factory heads. The floor tom and bass drum have 10mm 8ply shells and all 3 rack toms have 7.5mm 6ply shells, all birch. There's projection and midrange thump on offer with plenty of tuning range and versatility. Pearl ISS rim mounts (no holes drilled in the shells) deliver minimal choke. Coupled with the suspension legs on the floor tom and all 4 toms have plenty of sustain. The bass drum has the stock tom mount and the 8" rack tom has a shorter arm which needs to be mounted off a stand. What a classy finish too!
