Fender American Deluxe Stratocaster Natural 2006
Fender Am Deluxe Strat, natural gloss, made in USA 2006. The American Deluxe series launched in 1998 as the suave, sophisticated big brother to the long-running American Standard series. You get a couple of cool upgrades: Noiseless pickups, a fancy roller nut, abalone inlays and a neck with a compound radius and an access heel join. This one has been modified, so it's got a handy set of Fender non-locking tuners and vintage-style wiring without the S-1 switching complications. It's great in the hands: that neck is fast and agreeable, and the flatter radius up the top makes bends and quick runs very easy. The standard single coil hum is gloriously gone, so you can plug this into a dirty amp and turn it up without burdening your poor brain with 60-cycle hum. It's a bright, snappy, articulate take on the Strat-spank, sure to sit nicely on top of a mix and slice through nicely. The natural gloss finish adds some understated class to the mix too, it's a slick and friendly look. Very swish.

Cosmetic condition notes: minor finish wear. The headstock has some dents on the end, dimples on the top and bottom edges and the back and some minor scuffs around the truss rod plug on the front. The neck is clean and smooth in the hands, minor dimples and some rub wear on the back only. The back has dimples on both horns, around the trem cavity and the elbow area, as well as minor scuffs in the middle ofthe body, along the belly carve and the back and bottom edges, as well as a scratch in the clear coat coming off the neck plate. The sides have dimples on both horns, a decent chip and some scuffs in the elbow area and some dents and scuffs near the jack. The front has some dimples around the jack, back edge and elbow area, some dents near the bottom tone knob and up from thte bridge pickup and some play wear on the guard and horns.
Overall: very good condition (7.5/10)
Playing condition notes: Action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good, truss rod works. All electronics tested and working properly. Wearing fresh 10/46 strings.
Fret life: 7/10, normal wear but playing evenly with no major buzz issues
