Paul Reed Smith SE Custom 24-08 Vintage Sunburst 2020
PRS SE Custom 24-08, sunburst, made in Indonesia 2020. The Custom 24 is a modern classic: it's possibly the most enduring and iconic model to come out in the 1980s, and still delivers the goods to this day. This is a recent take from the impressive SE line: made in sunny Indonesia these days to a great standard and surely an unreasonably good offering for the cash. There's two things that make a PRS what it is in my books: excellent ergonomics, and bell-like clarity. The neck feels fantastic, with the signature 10" radius and 25" scale combo offering a super balanced feel, and the lightweight body super comfy and intuitive to hold. The pickups are nice and bright: heaps of top end zing, airy mids, percussive bass... it's got that PRS clarity to it for sure. This 24-08 version has individual split switches for the pickups, so there's all manner of switching options on board for the adventurous among us. The warm hues of the burst looks classy too. SE=swish, ey?

Cosmetic condition notes: minor finish wear. The headstock has dimples on the end and treble edge. The neck is clean and smooth in the hands, no major marks. The back has minor scuffs around the trem cavity and along the belly carve only. The sides have minor dimples in the elbow area and near the jack. The front has minor scuffs around the controls, bridge and elbow area and some play wear on the horns..
Overall: excellent condition (9/10)
Playing condition notes: action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good, truss rod works. All electronics tested and working properly. Wearing fresh 9/42 Moonshiner strings.
Fret Life: 9/10, minor wear only
