(ARCHIVE) Rickenbacker 4003 Bass Satin Fireglo 1999
- Description
- Guitarchives
Rickenbacker 4003, Fireglo finish, made in USA 1999. It's hard to argue with the inherent swagger of a Ric bass, they're just effortlessly cool. This one has a satin finish, which is unusual. It's certainly a cool look, as the satin wears much faster than a gloss finish, so it's got a decent dose of rub wear and a few marks and dimples around the place to give it a played-in aesthetic. The tone is classic Ric: heaps of grind and a mountain of output, thumping punchy lows and a slicing, clear top end. You'll never get buried in the mix with this in your hands! It's fairly light for a 4003 and feels comfy and resonant in the hands, it's got a certain integrity to it you can feel when you play it. This radiates cowboy cool and will surely do it's best work on stage, just like you, right?
