(ARCHIVE) Roland Cube 40 1x10" Guitar Combo Amp
- Description
- Guitarchives
The Roland Cube line of amps debuted in 1978 and went on to become the biggest selling amps in the world for a while there. This one was made in January 1979, which makes it a pretty early example indeed. The reverb is currently not working, otherwise it's in pretty great shape for an older amp, all the pots are clean and it sounds everything works a treat. The tone on offer is typically Roland: thick and snappy, heaps of dynamic range, plonky bass... great as a pedal platform or clean amp. The dirty channel isn't too bad, although it won't scare a good tube amp.
