(ARCHIVE) Roland JC-60 Jazz Chorus 1x12" Guitar Combo Amp 1978
- Description
- Guitarchives
Roland launched their famous Jazz Chorus series in 1975. The most famous model is the JC-120, which sounds great but is somewhat of a Big Chungus. The JC-60 was part of the original lineup that launched in '75, but it was discontinued by 1980 as best I can tell and hasn't been reissued since. This one dates to 1978, and following a service by our handy tech Brookfield Tube Audio, is in excellent working order with no issues. The chorus and vibrato onboard is a highlight: it sounds gooey, rich, warm and all sorts of awesome. The reverb is good too, it's easy to dial in just the right amount. As a pedal platform, this is a lot of fun and responds nicely to all sorts of overpriced overdrives. It's only 20kg and has good wheels... need I say more?
