'Hold your group together with RotoSound strings' - The Who Sell Out - 1967
"Legendary British string manufacturers RotoSound formed in England in the 1950's. Founder James How started out making zither strings after seeing 'The Third Man' movie featuring the music of renowned zither player Anton Karas. During the 1960's James and his team worked closely with many famous artists including John Entwistle of The Who and formulated the first ever roundwound bass guitar string in 1966 which to this day is the industry standard. RotoSound strings went on to be used by such luminaries as The Jimi Hendrix Experience, The Who, Pink Floyd, and many more. All RotoSound strings are still manufactured in England on specialist machinery designed and built in the company's R&D department."
