Sandberg VS4 Electa, made in Korea/Germany 2016, black. This is a great little bass, it's a lot of fun. The styling and tone is approximately in the Precision Bass category, but with some fun twists. First, it's got a slim neck, close to a trad Jazz Bass in shape, and a slim, undersize body. Combined with the sturdy German-engineered hardware, it's an intuitive and easy player and would be perfect for those long sets. The pre-amp offers a passive mode with a standard volume and tone control, which delivers a warm vintage style growl, as well as an active mode that kicks things up a gear or three. With the bass boosted, it's a giant, hairy tone that'll rattle brains all the way to the back of the room. It's a sleek-looking thing too, crisp and modern but familiar enough to feel like home. Ze Germans, right?
