Schecter Tempest Custom, black, made in Korea 2007. Schecter have long been making good stuff, and their Korean-made offerings have always punched very hard indeed for the cash. The Tempest was an original shape, a little similar to a Maton Mastersound, a bit like a Les Paul, slightly PRS-ish... it's got its own thing going on. The neck is suitably shreddable: slick and quick with good access up to the high frets. The pickups are in the hot passive genre, so this has plenty of wallop on the low end and plenty of teeth in the treble. A previous owner switched some gold hardware out for black stuff, so this one is extra stealthy. “Your tale, sir, would cure deafness.”― William Shakespeare, The Tempest
