(ARCHIVE) Shin-ei Companion PM-14 Amplifier Psychedelic Machine 1968

This is coolest effects unit, in any format, I have ever played. The Psychedelic Machine was designed by Fumio Mieda, the brains behind both the Univox Super Fuzz and the original Uni-Vibe, who also played a significant role in developing early synthesizers for Korg. You're basically getting those two effects in one box. The fuzz side has two switchable voicings, one dark and juicy and one spitty and snarly, plus an expander and volume knob. The 'mood' side has a gorgeous harmonic trem, gooey vibrato and the 'duet' mode which is the Uni-Vibe sound. You can run either side individually or both sides at once. The modulation stuff is unreal: everything sounds so lush, it's such an enjoyable thing to listen to. With both sides on, it's straight to Hendrix-town. These are basically the exact circuits Jimi used, you can feel the inspiration straight away. This one has had a full once-over from our buddy Reuben at Brookfield Audio, so it's totally scrubbed up and ready to go. Note that this runs on original 240v wall plug power.
