Squier SST33 Silver Series Strat, made in Japan in 1993/4 in black-on-black. The Silver Series heralded a return to Japanese manufacturing for Squier, and were very well received at the time owing to the excellent build quality from the legendary Fujigen factory. This guy is a classic-case: clean and classy looks, great feel, very convincing tone. The satin-finished neck is especially good; it really feels brilliant in the hands. The classic Strat-spank is all there; it's easy to dial in a killer tone and just enjoy yourself... it just feels 'right'. You can't go wrong with a lightly aged black-on-black-with-maple Strat, it's always going to look good. Simple, but satisfying.

Model: Squier Silver Series Stratocaster, SST33-M model
Made: Japan (Fujigen plant) ,1993/94 (serial Q009698)
Finish: black, black 3-ply guard
Body: 'wood fibre' looks like basswood
Neck: maple with maple board, dot inlays
Mods: none
Pickups: original Fender Japan ST Single
Case: very basic gig bag

Cosmetic condition notes: minor finish wear. There's a few minor dimples and dents around the body, both front and back; nothing long/deep/nasty. There's some minor clouding on the chrome and some play-scratches on the guard. Back plate is missing a couple of screws. Overall: very good condition (8/10)

Playing condition notes: Action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good, truss rod works. All electrics tested and working properly. Frets have very minor wear, around 7.5/10 for life left. Setup with fresh 10/46s, playing great!
