Squier Standard Jagmaster Silver Sparkle 2004
Squier Standard Series Jagmaster, made in China 2004, silver sparkle. The Jagmaster was a Squier original; the first version belonged to the cult famous Vista series. This is the second version, made as part of the Standard Series from 2000-5 out of China, with the 25.5" scale neck. It's a great looking guitar: the offset shape and big 70s style headstock is a great combo, and paired with the perfect-under-lights silver sparkle finish, this is surely quite the chícmaster. The bridge pickup has been replaced with a vintage Musicmaster humbucker, which is terrific: there's a huge amount of punch and low end on offer, balanced by a grindy snappy midrange with plenty of cut. The neck is well played-in and feels slick; it's an easy player. If you're after a cool little rock machine that's equal parts glam and mongrel, here's one!
