Squier Vintage Modified Cabronita Telecaster Black 2014
Squier Cabronita Tele, black, made in Indo 2014. Pretty slick hey? The Cabronita Tele began as a eye-watering expensive Custom Shop offering in 2009; this much more affordable version was produced from 2012-15 approx and enjoyed critical acclaim. The premise is pretty simple: stick a pair of Gretsch-style humbuckers into a solid body Tele, simplify the electronics, and let nature take it's course. The tone is awesome: heaps of grit and growl, but with a sweet sparkle and a tasty clarity. It really does the rock and roll rhythm thing well, but will clean up nicely too. The pickups are the same as the Mexican Fender version of the model; combined with the string-through-body bridge it all sounds and feels very tidy. The neck has been partially sanded to a satin finish, which feels excellent. This is a really good little rock and roll machine, it'll happily crank out many nasty riffs with gleeful abandon.
