Squier Vista Series Musicmaster Bass Aged Sonic Blue 1997
Squier Vista Series Musicmaster bass, made 1997 in Taiwan in aged sonic blue. These were made for one year only, 1997, and were a reissue of Fender's Musicmaster bass that was made 1971-81. Just like everything in Squier's Vista series, the build quality is excellent, and these enjoy quite the cult following. It's basically a stripped down version of the also-short-scale Mustang bass. This weighs almost nothing, has a slim little comfy neck and simple electronics... really you just pick up and play; everything is easy. The finish was originally a pristine sonic blue, but twenty three years of aging has seen it yellow to a super sweet surf green type hue; it's seriously stunning! This is a supremely charming little bass.
