- Guitarchives
Squier Vista Series Musicmaster bass, made 1997 in Taiwan in vintage white. These were made for one year only, 1997, and were a reissue of Fender's Musicmaster bass that was made 1971-81. It's basically a stripped down version of the also-short-scale Mustang bass. This weighs almost nothing, has a slim little comfy neck and simple electronics... really you just pick up and play; everything is easy. The shell pink finish is extremely tasty; it's such a little babe. If you like the comfort and ease of a short scale, this is an unusual and fun little addition to the collection!

Cosmetic condition notes: minor finish wear. There's a bunch of little marks around the body, nothing big. Most notable dings: near the input jack, above the bridge, top horn, near the rear strap pin, top edge of the back, near the E peg on the headstock. None of them are very bad. Fairly noticeable discolouration on the chrome, plastics and lacquer, some pitting on the metal parts. Overall: good condition (7/10)
Playing condition notes: Action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good, truss rod works. All electrics tested and working properly. The frets have been played, but wear is minor, 7/10. Charming little babe!
